Skiing with Nina Gigele at the Arlberg is more than just a guided day on snow. It’s a full-sensory alpine experience—curated by someone who knows every hidden line, every local secret, and every story the mountain has to tell.
As the author of “Inside the Arlberg”, Nina brings years of deep research, passion, and insider knowledge into every ski day. From backcountry lines to local brews, iconic hotels to soulful side valleys, she connects skiing with lifestyle, culture, and unforgettable memories.
It’s tailored, dynamic, and always about creating and enjoying magic moments. With over a decade of experience as a certified ski mountain guide, Nina combines technical excellence with emotional intelligence, matching terrain, pace, and challenge to each skier or group.
Your day (or week) might include:
• 🎿 Freeriding legendary lines
• ⛷️ Technical ski clinics to boost your form and flow
• 🏔️ Ski touring to untouched valleys and secret powder stashes
• 🚁 Heli skiing (only with certified local guides and as an optional add-on)
Heliskiing in the Arlberg is strictly regulated and only possible with a certified local ski mountain guide. It depends on conditions and terrain access. I require a minimum of 3 days ideally 7 days of guiding together before booking to ensure complete trust, communication, and safety. Think of it as a bonus, not a given.
• 🏃♀️ Cross-country skiing, off days, or snowshoeing for recovery
• 📸 Epic content creation for personal memories or brand storytelling

The Arlberg is a cluster of charming villages, each with its personality. Here’s my local take:
🍷 Lech am Arlberg: Elegant and welcoming. Perfect for families, foodies, and loyal returners. Advanced skiing, beautiful accommodations, and a thriving restaurant and bar scene—especially this season!
⛷️ Zürs am Arlberg: Quiet and snow-sure. A small, exclusive village directly on the piste. Ideal for focused ski days and relaxed evenings.
🌲 Zug: Hidden, calm, and close to nature. Great for cross-country skiing, as trails start at the gondola and hotel doors. Ideal for peaceful luxury.
🔍 Stuben am Arlberg: A secret favorite. Small, authentic, and full of hidden freeride gems. Perfect for powder hunters looking for character-rich terrain and boutique hotels.
🍾 St. Christoph am Arlberg: Luxury at altitude. Home of the legendary Hospiz Alm—a culinary must. Let me know if you’d like me to book a table for you.
There’s a reason I call it the “Arlberg Bubble.” It’s a mindset—a moment of complete presence in nature. Here, skiing isn’t just a sport; it’s a lifestyle, a connection, and an invitation to rediscover yourself through movement and mountains.
As I always say:
“There’s no bad weather—just bad mood.”
The Arlberg isn’t just about the slopes. I curate experiences that blend skiing with deep local culture:
• 🧀 Visit local cheese farms and craft brewers
• 🍽️ Dine at handpicked restaurants—from alpine classics to culinary hotspots
• 🛷 Relax in beautiful spas or try snowshoeing on a snowy evening
• 🎉 Enjoy small-scale events and insider gatherings you won’t find on tourist maps
